Setting up your profile
Add your name, avatar, and outdoor preferences to get personalized recommendations and connect with the community.
Accessing your profile settings
Navigate to the Settings page from the user menu in the top-right corner of the navigation bar. Here you can manage your display name, profile photo, and personal preferences. Your profile is visible to other Cairn users when you share experiences publicly.
Adding personal information
Upload a profile photo and set your display name to help other community members recognize you. You can use any name you prefer — it doesn't need to match your account email. Your profile photo appears on shared experiences, community posts, and comments.
Setting outdoor preferences
Tell Cairn about your experience level, preferred activities, and fitness level. These preferences help the AI generate more accurate trip suggestions. For example, if you mark yourself as an intermediate hiker, Cairn will suggest trails that match your ability rather than showing beginner-only or expert-level routes.
Privacy controls
Control what information is visible on your public profile. You can choose to show or hide your experience history, follower count, and activity preferences. Your email address is never shown publicly regardless of your privacy settings.
