Wolf Mountains

The Wolf Mountains in Montana are a rugged, heavily forested mountain range located in the south-central part of the state. Spanning over 30 miles, the range is characterized by steep, rocky slopes and dense coniferous forests. The terrain is generally steep and challenging, with several prominent peaks rising above the treeline. The mountains are part of the greater Absaroka Range and were formed by volcanic activity millions of years ago.
