Wind River Range

The Wind River Range is a rugged and remote mountain range located in western Wyoming. Spanning over 100 miles in length, the range is characterized by towering granite peaks, deep glacial valleys, and crystal-clear alpine lakes. The landscape is dominated by the Continental Divide, which runs along the crest of the range, dividing the Pacific and Atlantic watersheds. Glaciers, snowfields, and permanent snowpack are common features, with the range containing over 30 named peaks exceeding 13,000 feet in elevation.
