Wilson Range

The Wilson Range is a rugged mountain range located in western Montana, near the border with Idaho. The range is characterized by steep, rocky peaks and deep glacial valleys, with elevations ranging from around 5,000 feet in the valley bottoms to over 10,000 feet at the highest summits. The terrain is predominantly alpine, with extensive areas of rocky outcrops, scree slopes, and permanent snowfields. The range is part of the Bitterroot Mountain system and lies within the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest, offering a wilderness-like experience for outdoor enthusiasts.
