White Hills

The White Hills are a small, rugged mountain range located in central Idaho. The range is characterized by steep, rocky slopes and numerous high-elevation peaks. Glacial activity has carved deep valleys and cirques throughout the range, creating dramatic alpine landscapes. Vegetation is sparse at higher elevations, with krummholz forests and alpine tundra dominating the upper slopes. Lower elevations support dense coniferous forests of pine, fir, and spruce. Wildlife in the range includes bighorn sheep, elk, black bear, and a variety of bird species.
