Thomas Range

The Thomas Range, also known as the Drum Mountains, is a small but visually striking mountain range located in west-central Utah. This isolated desert range rises dramatically from the surrounding flatlands, with rugged, rocky peaks and colorful volcanic geology. The terrain is primarily composed of rhyolite, a light-colored volcanic rock, which gives the mountains a unique and varied appearance. The range features narrow canyons, exposed ridges, and scattered pinyon-juniper forests, creating a diverse landscape well-suited for outdoor exploration.
