South Junipers

The South Junipers mountain range is a rugged and scenic subrange of the larger Sawtooth Mountains in central Idaho. Characterized by steep, craggy peaks and deep glacial valleys, the South Junipers offer a challenging and rewarding outdoor experience. The terrain is predominantly granite and volcanic rock, with many alpine lakes and streams dotting the landscape. Dense pine and fir forests cover the lower slopes, transitioning to tundra and scree fields at higher elevations.
