Soldier Mountains

The Soldier Mountains are a small mountain range located in central Idaho, about 120 miles east of Boise. The range sits entirely within Custer County and covers an area of roughly 200 square miles. The Soldiers have a high point of 10,095 feet at the summit of Soldier Peak, but the majority of the range lies between 7,000-9,000 feet in elevation. The terrain is characterized by alpine meadows, rugged granite peaks, and forested slopes, offering a diverse landscape for outdoor recreation.
