Smoky Range

The Smoky Range is a rugged and remote mountain range located in the heart of Montana. Stretching across the western part of the state, the range is characterized by steep, jagged peaks, deep glacial valleys, and numerous alpine lakes and streams. The terrain is generally rocky and challenging, with a mix of exposed ridges, talus slopes, and dense sub-alpine forests. The range is home to a variety of wildlife, including bighorn sheep, grizzly bears, and a variety of bird species.
