Sierra Nacimiento

The Sierra Nacimiento is a small mountain range located in northwestern New Mexico. The range is characterized by rugged, rocky peaks and high-elevation valleys, with the highest point reaching over 10,700 feet. The terrain is generally steep and challenging, with a mix of alpine meadows, dense pine and fir forests, and exposed rock outcroppings. The range is part of the larger Jemez Mountains and shares a similar geologic history and landscape.
