San Francisco Mountains

The San Francisco Mountains are a small mountain range located in southwestern Utah, just north of the Arizona border. The range features rugged, volcanic peaks that rise dramatically out of the surrounding desert landscape. The terrain is generally steep and rocky, with a mix of exposed rock, talus slopes, and sparse vegetation. Several prominent summits tower over the range, including the highest point at 11,522 feet. Despite the arid climate, the mountains support a surprising diversity of plant and animal life adapted to the higher elevations.
