Purcell Mountains

The Purcell Mountains are a remote and rugged mountain range located in northwestern Montana, bordering Canada. Spanning over 100 miles, the range is characterized by steep, glaciated peaks, deep valleys, and pristine alpine lakes. The terrain is predominantly rocky and mountainous, with high-alpine areas giving way to dense coniferous forests at lower elevations. The Purcells are part of the larger Rocky Mountain system and contain numerous dramatic ridges, cirques, and glacial features carved by past ice ages.
