Prospect Mountains

The Prospect Mountains are a small mountain range located in western Wyoming, near the town of Lander. The range is characterized by its rugged, alpine terrain, with steep, rocky slopes and numerous high peaks. The range is situated within the Shoshone National Forest, which provides protection and access to the area for outdoor enthusiasts. The Prospect Mountains feature a variety of ecosystems, from dense coniferous forests at lower elevations to alpine tundra and bare rock at the highest elevations.
