Promontory Mountains

The Promontory Mountains are a small but rugged mountain range located in northwestern Utah. The range extends for approximately 30 miles along the eastern shore of the Great Salt Lake and is characterized by steep, rocky slopes, deep canyons, and a generally arid climate. The terrain is diverse, ranging from rolling foothills to sharp, jagged peaks, providing a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities.
