Portneuf Range

The Portneuf Range is a small mountain range located in southeastern Idaho, near the city of Pocatello. The range spans approximately 25 miles and reaches elevations up to 9,271 feet. The terrain is characterized by rugged, rocky peaks and ridges, with steep canyons and alpine basins carved by glaciers in the past. The landscape is dominated by coniferous forests, with subalpine meadows and rocky outcroppings at higher elevations. The range offers excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation, with a network of hiking trails and backcountry access.
