About Pocatello Range
The Pocatello Range is a small mountain range located in southeastern Idaho, just east of the city of Pocatello. This range is part of the greater Bannock Mountain system and features rugged, rocky peaks with alpine lakes and meadows. The terrain is generally steep and challenging, with rocky ridges, talus slopes, and occasional sheer cliffs. Glaciation has sculpted much of the landscape, leaving behind dramatic cirques and U-shaped valleys. Vegetation ranges from sagebrush and juniper at lower elevations to spruce-fir forests and alpine tundra near the summits.
