Pioneer Mountains

The Pioneer Mountains are a rugged and remote mountain range located in southwestern Montana. Spanning over 30 miles from north to south, the range features jagged granite peaks, deep glacial valleys, and pristine alpine lakes. The terrain is characterized by steep, rocky slopes, with many high-elevation passes and ridgelines. The mountains are home to diverse wildlife, including bighorn sheep, mountain goats, elk, and grizzly bears.
