Owl Creek Mountains

The Owl Creek Mountains are a small, rugged mountain range located in central Wyoming. Part of the Absaroka Range, the Owl Creeks rise abruptly from the surrounding plains, with steep, rocky slopes and dramatic ridgelines. The range is characterized by deep, glacially carved valleys, alpine lakes, and scattered stands of coniferous forest. The terrain is generally steep and challenging, with few well-developed trails, making much of the area best suited for experienced hikers and backpackers.
