Ocotillo Hills

The Ocotillo Hills are a small mountain range located in the southeastern corner of New Mexico. Characterized by rugged, arid terrain, the range rises abruptly from the surrounding Chihuahuan Desert landscape. Elevations in the Ocotillo Hills generally range from around 4,500 to 6,500 feet, with the highest points capped by rocky outcroppings and sparse stands of piñon pine and juniper. The landscape is dominated by steep, rocky slopes, narrow canyons, and dry washes, offering a challenging yet rewarding environment for outdoor enthusiasts.
