North Moccasin Mountains

The North Moccasin Mountains are a small, isolated mountain range located in central Montana. Geologically, the range consists primarily of sedimentary rock formations dating back to the Paleozoic era. The terrain is characterized by rugged, steep slopes with narrow valleys and ridgelines. Elevations range from around 4,500 feet in the foothills up to just over 7,300 feet at the highest peaks. The remote and undeveloped nature of the range provides a sense of solitude and wilderness for outdoor enthusiasts.
