Mud Springs Mountains

The Mud Springs Mountains are a small, isolated mountain range located in the southwest corner of New Mexico. Characterized by rugged, volcanic terrain, the range rises abruptly from the surrounding high desert landscape. The mountains feature steep, rocky slopes, deep canyons, and scattered piñon-juniper woodlands, offering a dramatic and remote wilderness environment. Elevations range from around 6,000 feet in the foothills up to over 8,200 feet on the highest peaks.
